Nessie

Meet Nessie, our friendly female Bearded Dragon!  With her spiky scales and curious eyes, she's a fantastic representative of her species. Bearded dragons are native to the deserts of Australia, where they spend their days basking in the sun. Nessie enjoys relaxing under her heat lamp and watching the world go by.  These fascinating reptiles are omnivores, eating both plants and insects.  Did you know that bearded dragons can sense light with a small gland on the top of their heads, sometimes called a "third eye"?
